-Rabbi Laurie Coskey is the Executive Director of the Interfaith Committee for Worker Justice. -Susanne Hillman, Ph.D. is an author and history professor at UC San Diego. She is also Program Coordinator of the Holocaust Living History Workshop at UCSD which came about to familiarize students and the community with the Visual History Archive of the Shoah Foundation Institute. –Born in 1929, Ben Midler, now 83, was 10 when Germany declared war on Poland, changing his world forever. After the Nazis invaded Bialyostok, Poland, he was forced into the ghetto; they were separated from his family, who remained behind in a bunker. He never saw them again. Mr. Midler survived a series of concentration camps, a death march, typhus, starvation, freezing conditions and unimaginable indignities — eventually to be liberated.
